The Friends of the Saint Clair Shores Public Library are committed to creating, supporting, and sponsoring a variety of activities designed to enrich your Library experience.
We are a 501c3 not-for-profit organization run by a voluntary Board of Directors, which support the St. Clair Shores Public Library, but it is neither governed by the Library nor any city or government agency.
The organization was established in 1983 under the leadership of its first president, William Gilstorf.
To date, the Friends - through fundraisers, book sales, and membership fees - have contributed over $400,000 to the Saint Clair Shores Public Library.
The St. Clair Shores Public Library is preparing for exciting renovations!
Renovations are set to begin September 2, 2025, and anticipated to last through April 2026.
During the renovations, the public areas will not be available during this time, meaning patrons will not be able to come in and browse, study, or use the computers.
Several Library services will continue to be offered during renovations. Stay tuned to the Library’s website and social media outlets for more information!
